If goema is the ability to distill the world into a few choice words, then that is Loit Sols.

He is a goema poet, a poet of Khoisan descent. A prolific writer, with two books of poetry published by Jakana. And he is a performing artist, a musician whose musical spirit is water. Languid and fluid and sometimes with a wail from the bottom of the well of tears cried for millenia of human forgetfulness and savagery. That is Loit.

One time member of the Khoi Khonnexion, and veteran of various international festival performances, including the Winternachten Festival, Loit performs solo and with a band. For this performance he has a assembled a band from Malmesbury.
